When selecting a new game...

ok so here is my issue. i just beat it on contractor and want to start a new game to go for the alternate ending trophies and any others that require a fresh playthrough. however, i also want my kills to go towards "the beast" trophy. now i know if i start a new game in a diff save block it will reset my kills, but if i select a new game in the same slot that i already completed the game once at will it also reset my kills to zero? also can i just chapter select from the first scene of the first chapter and then playthrough without chapter selecting afterwards? any insight into this matter will be much appreciated. thanks

a new game will not delete your kills. As long as it's the same save file your kills will continue to rise and you will keep all of your weapons. Good luck, I have a little less than 4,000 campaign kills and I can't stand another second of the story. I hate having to watch every cutscene. Yes, you can chapter select and do whatever you want. As long as you save the game everything adds up.
After you choose new game, all the weapon parts you collected will be gone and the radios you picked up will be gone, leaving only the ones you need to find.

lol nothing technically requires a "fresh" playthrough if you use your saved file correctly. If you have the last part saved you can reload it and just make the 4 different choices and get the trophies. I beat the game 4 different times though.

All 3 save files on mine count my kills I have a solo and two co op saves with friends and my kill count has moved up across all 3.

hmm well that's cool, I never would have guessed but I guess it makes sense. I play split screen with my friend and it keeps track of everything he does as well.

word, alright cool thanks. i feel you though on the not bein able to stand another second of the story..because the story sucks. there is no story. the cutscenes are all the same (pretty much just buildings crashing or helicopters getting shot down) its like its not a terrible game but the lack substance, in terms of plot, loses it alot of points with me. well that and the game is real easy. i played with the comp 75% of the time and died minimally. I appreciate the help though, now i can start goin through again..and again..

I had it from gamefly, I sent it back I'm going to wait til extraction comes out and get it back, hopefully platinum soon after.

i had pre-ordered it so i've had extraction for a while but something always goes wrong when I play it. like either the host leaves, or the server is really slow, or a player just literally blows hard. it just sucks cause in order for em to count you gotta start the game and finish it in the lobby without any interuption in gameplay ya know. if/when you get it again and need ppl for a 16-round extraction game I need that trophy too still so im down
