Do you play games just for the trophies ?

I've slowed down a lot on trophy hunting and recently just been playing for fun. All u can really do with trophies is show them off and brag anyway... I hope that changes in the future

i just started to play and i kinda only do it for the trophies, broken made me this way tho cause he'll buy any game just for the trophies

Trophies are always fun to get. I play for the experience and the shear coolness of the game.

Lol i've always been a trophy hunter, altough i dont got alot , but still i buy my games because of the fun, and it would be cool if there were trophies as a extra, that's why i got some non-trophy games too, just cuz of the fun.

Gaming is made for entertainment, not for trophies! But still, after I have fun finishing the game, I work on trophies ( If the game isn't crap and takes trophies like 1000 online kills or something stupid and time consuming ) then I wont even bother showing up the trophy list! So I would say I play 100% for fun, then trophies are just to get everything the developer asks you to, and beat it, NICE CHALLENGE THOUGH

I love trophies and all but i try to get one to two full play throughs of a game before i attempt to trophy hunt or try and 100% them. I have to buy games that are games that id know id like or else id never even finish playing them. But on the occasion ive bought a crappy game the trophies help me get through it so its a win win i think and sometimes ill buy a game based on a trophy list which allows me to try games id never normally play ie uncharted and ac2 games that i now love and have played many times over.

I Play for both.
I love trophies, i really do. But if i didn't like playing i didn't trophy hunt. I'm playing Midnight club becuase i saw that i needed some easy silver trophies on that game so im playing it right now and i have fun with that. I think im 60/40, the trophy side wins but the time i spend playing NBA 2K9 really shows off my plesure in playing....

And the pepol in lvl 12 and 13 saying they don't play for the trophies, im not convenced...

Also, ther's another thread for this i think...

P.S-Also, i like the chalenge trophies give you. Thats all now

Having fun is what gaming is all about... Trophies are my Reward though and show I have Conquered that certain game : )

Previously I've always played games purely for fun, but wen I saw a bundle of hannah Montana and terminator salvation for like £12 I couldn't resist the easy trophies lol haha, other than that it's always just or fun haha.... oh and linger in shadows was my one off for the psn store lol

I used to just play for the trophies and then I got tired of playing crappy games that I didn't enjoy so I started playing games I wanted to play. Trophies still influence my game choices though. I'd be skeptical on a game with hard trophies unless its supposed to be awesome.
