Good post, i don't see a point in buying controllers off ebay anyways, you can goto the local game store and get one for cheap.

Now children what did we learn today?
That's right, don't trust Ebay.

I have to admit. I came in here thinking that "counterfeit" actually meant "3rd party" and I couldn't have been more wrong. I don't know why someone would go to such lengths to copy small details and silk screen copyrighted logos all while skimping out on the quality of the function of the controller itself.
That being said, eBay is still a mostly safe place to shop, and I say that as someone who has done quite a bit of business on the site. I would bet that most people who are selling these controllers don't even know that they have these fakes. (Incidentally, they could show up at any retail place that takes in used items.)

yeah, I'm one of the guys that got burned by a fake controller off ebay. Tried to buy a white controller to match the one I got from Play-asia. Paid $40ish dollars for one on ebay, turned out it was fake. And not even a good fake. Out of the package you could clearly tell it was fake and the light indicating the controller number covered 2 of the 4 displays. I was pretty choked but couldn't do anything unless I paid for shipping the controller back to China. Needless to say, I'll be heading to best buy to buy a black controller.

Why would you say that? thats not the first dumb thing you've said but oh well.
First off, it's not just ebay. it's the users on all of those style sites and even on their own independent sites. 2nd, if you payed through paypal, you get your money back if it's fake. Those guys in their video obviously didn't explain their case good enough, or they waited to long to file a complaint. BUT you might be out a few dollars for S&H but oh well.
I've dealt with counterfeits and scammers on ebay all the time and have never run into a problem because paypal takes care of everything.

i bought a steering wheel on ebay for my 98 civic and the seller never sent the wheel and tried to keep my $, but paypal paid me back, thats all i cared about, that is why u should only use paypal when ever possible!!!!

have you got it yet? was it a fake?
i agree with you there.....i've actually seen what i thought to be a fake at a local gamestop in the used section. these things can come from anywhere. and if this was an ebay powerseller.....they are probably bought them from someone else at "wholesale" prices and like you said might not even know they are fake
paypal does in fact protect the buyer. i had an auction i sold on ebay and shipped it off and when the person got the package.....they said it had a 10 pound bag of rice in it (that's how much the package weighed) and said that i was trying to scam them. even though i had over 100 positive feedback with 0 negative and this was a new buyer....paypal still gave them their money back. so what i'm trying to say is i agree with the above quote....use paypal whenever possible

i don't doubt that you can but this is more for the less "professional" gamers that might not realize all of those small things that indicate it's a fake. i knew right away before the video started which one was fake because i could see the raised edges on the bottom of the controller where
and
are
