after need for speed underground 2, i didn't really enjoy the games that much. most wanted and carbon were ok but nothing great. so shit was a nice surprise even though it had its faults as well. what i would love more than anything would be to see the next NFS game have a great balance of underground and shift. to me that would make one hell of a NFS game and would tease me enough to actually buy it.

Need For Speed History
hi i recently rented nfs shift, and to be honest i was suprised how good it was. i mean after nfs underground 2, they all went down hill... at least i believe so. i also found this video on the web YouTube- Need For Speed History (1995 - 2008) i really hope that the next need for speed will have a nfs shift game engine with "street racing".
wat do u guys think about Need For Speed?
and wat was ur favorite release?

i actually liked most wanted, never bothered with carbon, and played both versions of pro street (ps2 & ps3), combine those 2 games with shift and i think it'd do well, i own shift, just aint played it in a while...

Underground 2 is the end all be all for racing games (I don't necessarily consider Burnout Paradise a racing game as there's hours that are spent doing everything but racing).
I wasn't a fan of Most Wanted, but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed Carbon okay. I actually liked Pro Street however it felt like the entire concept of Pro Street could have been implemented as an element of a game like Underground 3. I myself hate games where it's like. Race for 5 minutes then the rest of the game is menus. I love the car customization though. Nothing will beat Motor City Online for car customization, yet at least.
Great video though, good find!

Need for Speed 2, was the must fun I had. As well as NFS3. I liked both Undergrounds, but original series of games I cherished the most.

I was very dissapointed with NFS underground 2 the graphics was terrible - driving along winning races and the road would disappear - complete rubbish that game - seeing as i like racing games and have played most of them.
Nfs Shift was very good i thought it was similar to the Forza series which i also finished both games - Pure and Dirt 1 and 2 was also a very good games.

I think Porshe Unleashed was far and away the best game of the series. I'd love to see a next gen version of that, even if it's with a different manufacturer. My next favorite were the Hot Pursuit games.
