Grid: The Best Racing Game Ever

GRID is a fantastic game, and I had a whole lot of fun playing it, but it is an arcade racer. I prefer simulation myself, and Gran Turismo is as close as it gets on consoles.

If we are talking arcade racers, GRID is definitely in the top 3, but it doesn't compare to Gran Turismo, in my opinion.

you cant realy call gran tourismo 5 ( when its out ) a game its more like a imba driving simulation

Anyway I completely agree, it had the perfect balance between fun and real, with the destructive side of burnout (Slightly) making it EPIC. I found DiRT 2 to be it's fun loving brother though

Well you have to put out there every other racing game that has come out. I liked GRID, but it was to repetitive. Not very realistic. GT5 along with any other GT that has come out has decimated all racing games. So I have to disagree with you on GRID being the best racing game.

GT5 is very good, but it is missing the Modification part for me, cant do anything to the cars !

The full release of Gran Turismo 5 should bring back the car modifications that all the other ones had. They released Prologue so we would be able to see what the driving physics would be like (they have since changed them though) and what the graphics would be like.

I did miss the modifications in Prologue, but I think the cockpit view made all the cars seem faster, even the slow cars you start out with.


If you're talking about visual modification, I can see where GT might annoy you. I however, like my cars to appear stock so the visual modifications don't matter at all to me, but it would be a good addition to the game.

Yeah, looking at all of the videos and screenshots for GT5, this game is going to be sick! It is going to push the PS3 to its limits. As far as visual goes.

Yep, it's definately great. But like many others above me have said, no trophies. It's the reason i traded mine not too long after trophies came out.

Shift wasnt the one that NFS went down hill for me, it was Pro Street. One of the most hanus games ever. I wish they would go back to there roots, put something out like Most Wanted. That one by far is my fav.

I tried out Grid and just couldn't get into it despite the stellar reviews. It just wasn't for me. As far as racing goes, I tend to prefer the arcade racers over the sims, mainly because I suck ass at Gran Turismo series and don't have the patience to become good at them.
