Dante's Inferno very closely follows GOW3 from what I have seen

GOW3 = Very linear environments but very fleshed out\technical combat

Darksiders = Simplistic combat but more open environments with backtracking\secrets etc.

Haven't played Dante's Inferno but it looks very similar to GOW3, Darksiders is more of an adventure like Soul Reaver or Zelda, combat takes a slight backseat after the opening level and there is more puzzle solving\exploration.

I would say Darksiders, it's a pretty fun game and it's sort of like a darker hack n' slash zelda, while Dante's Inferno plays very much like God of War, a brutal hack n' slash that isn't very original but still an okay game

    imo

    Dante's Inferno
    + great art style
    + good story
    + great control
    + good boss fights
+ nice mix of holy and unholy powers
    - bad puzzles
    - the last 2 circles suck ( except the final boss )

    Darksiders
+ the visuals has a comic book feel to it
+ lots of powers to get
+ it's more open and you can visit early stages for collectables
    + good puzzles
    - the story has a good beginning and ending but nothing in between
    - the last part before the final boss is just one giant repetitive boring puzzle
    - the control it's not always responsive and you could get a little overwhelmed by them

i would say get Dante's Inferno

    Awesome sig ^ ^ ^

I would say Darksiders, just because it felt like something different, well for the current time anyway.

Dante's Inferno is great but it's basically just God of War with a different story, it is still an awesome game though.

I really like Darksiders as it reminds me of Ocarina of Time

Darksiders for sure. The story was amazing and had awesome gameplay aspects to accompany it.

Dante's Inferno was awesome I thought. Sure its a ripoff of GoW, but they did a great job of doing it. Darksiders on the other, I found extremely boring & never even finished it.

    I personally preferred Dante's Inferno.

Also, If you're looking for the easier , Dante's Inferno is the way to go. Darksiders has some annoying collectibles plus one of the lamest excuse for a trophy ever created. Basically, you have to run around on your horse for a sew amount of miles or whatever, and by the end of the game you are nowhere near that amount, so you have to run around on your fricki'n horse to get the trophy. Also, there are some FPS issues with the game.

Having Platinumed both games, in the past, I despised Darksiders II while I played it, and was only mildly annoyed by Dante's Inferno.

That being said, if I ever had to, or desired, to Platinum one again, I would definitely choose Darksiders over Dante.

You got Darksiders II already? O.o

    @Topic
I would say Darksiders, Dante's Inferno is good, but Darksiders has more variety, and after you get another $15 or so, get the other game.

I can't speak for Dante's Inferno but I thought Darksiders was awesome. It felt like God of War gameplay mixed with an overworld and puzzles that you'd find in Zelda.

Yeah, this isn't my original PSN ID. I made a new one because I kinda stopped Platinum hunting.

I haven't played Darksiders, but Dante's Inferno is a really good game, I'm sure you'll like it.... and I don't get why people compare it to GoW so much =/

I never played Darksiders so I voted for Dante's Inferno, it's a great game with a good story.

I voted Dante's Inferno with a bit of reluctance.reason being mainly that i havent played Darksiders but Dante's Inferno was ok,i just found it to be a bit short and not really challenging and i was a bit disappointed in the end.i suppose this is one of those threads that best to post on if you have played bothe but i just thought id say.Heck with the majority voting for Darksiders i may try it myself one day.

I donīt recommend either. But if you have to choose, I would pick Dante's Inferno. Even thought how ridiculous the story is (beginning of the game you , a human, is able to kill death himself.......).

Darksiders is more like poor manīs zelda.

Everyone are always in rush, running, not stopping and looking nowhere other than forward. Is it wrong for me to go in my own pace, slow, always stopping and then moving and stopping, looking everywhere and nowhere?
