Judging by your current avatar, it's probably a good thing it won't play. Otherwise it'd probably be banned for not being PG-13...

that doesnt answer the question
, i had an avatar like that too but i also couldnt get it to play. I think it might have been something to do with how i saved it (might have saved it as a picture and not a animation) but im not sure though. I dunno how any of this crap works yet.

It's probably too large for the forum limits. The avatar size limits are 120x120 PIXELS. Any larger than that, it turns it into a regular image and shrinks it. Same with PNG images with transparent backgrounds, unless you have it saved as 120x120 PX it will not be transparent.

Correct Skordy. Resize the animated Gif to 120px wide using Gif Resizer (freeware) or similar.
I for one would love to see Famousoverdose's Avatar animate

If it doesn't play that means the file size is too large and you need to shrink it below 100kb

Lmao! I would love to see my current one animate too!
Its actually a different Avatar over on my Laptop, and its still PG13 though. Wait till you see!
Ill try the resizing and get up here again.[COLOR="Silver"]

How long is the animation? Might need to crack out a proper GIF animation tool like Ulead GIF Animator or Coffeecup GIF Animator and cut the number of frames down. Or as Tommy said, reduce the number of colours in the palette.

Aww, you make me blush. :3 lol jk.
Proper GIF animators? Those are REALLY basic gif tools, and can't really do much with them. ImageReady or Photoshop CS4
Send the picture to me in a PM, you'll lose some color but I believe I can bring your avatar down to forum limitations.

I used GIMP to create my .GIF avatar and while using it i found it incredible easy to crop the size, change colours and frame rate i highly suggest using it

That's exactly the point - i'd prefer to recommend a basic trialware tool to do the job instead of Adobe bloatware.
Unless you're using *cough* warez, not everyone here is going to have access to $700 USD software
