Challenging

*The same rules for calling a regular guide apply to guide challenging as well.*

While technically any current guide can be challenged for rewriting, the final decision is at the discretion of the TGT. Be advised that even if you are given the go-ahead to write a challenge guide, it does not mean that it will automatically be approved afterward. The TGT will review both guides (current and challenger) and vote for which one is deemed an overall better guide.

If you wish to challenge a guide, please give a detailed reason as to why, along with what you can offer in the challenge guide to improve on it. Something as simple as cosmetic reasons are not acceptable, as those areas can be handled directly by a TGT member (Battlefield: Bad Company being a prime example). Also note that while having a in the game is not mandatory in writing a challenge guide, it is expected that you will at least have a respectable amount of the games trophies.

To be fair, we (the TGT) will try and contact the author of the guide being challenged prior to answering a challenge request. If the author is willing to work with the TGT and possibly the challenger, then there may not be a need to write a challenge guide. If the author does not respond, or refuses to make changes, then the TGT will decide the next course of action.

The Official Video Game Release Date List

Please note that games may be called at midnight IN THE TIME ZONE THAT THE GAME FIRST RELEASES. If a game comes out in the EU first, then it may be called at midnight GMT, one month from the date of release in the EU. If the game comes out in NA first, then it may be called at midnight EST, one month from the date of release in NA.

PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to call the guide for a game that releases in the EU first and you live in NA, (or if you decide to call the guide for a game that releases in NA first and you live in the EU) then you will be given a two week window to finish the guide starting from when the game FIRST RELEASES. No extensions will be granted to people who can't finish in the shortened window. NO EXCEPTIONS.
