There is a New Game + mode after you defeat the last demon in the game. You will need about 3 playthroughs to aquire the demon's souls that you need to purchase all the spells, miracles, and create all Valuable Weapons. There is a ton on replay value in this game and hope you enjoy it. This guide is finished, but the guides below such as the Item Location Guide are always updated as I find new stuff. If you have anything to contribute, please PM me or send me a message on the PSN. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trophies *Note that these trophies are not in the order that you will fight bosses. Some bosses are optional. Strong Soul The One to obtain all trophies Pretty simple here, get all the other trophies to get your Platinum Trophy. This will take 4 play through to achieve. Battened Knight Overthrower of the Demon "Battened Knight" Penetrator, a large knight who has a knack for...Penetrating...you...with swords... This boss can be found in the area after the Tower Knight Archway. He isn't too hard actually despite the name, though his namesake does fit him well, for he will kill you in one hit if you get hit by his "penetrating" attack. You can avoid all damage he throws at you by rolling through his attacks. You will know when he tries to "penetrate" you for he will have a little charge up animation just like the Tower Knight. If you saved Biorr from the Phalanx Archway he will be here with you to fight the boss. You receive the Silver Demon's Soul from him. This soul is used for obtaining spells from Freke and Yuria. (Requires 2 Plays) God of the Dragon Overthrower of the Demon "God of the Dragon" The Dragon God, is not that hard of a boss even though he looks like he is a hulk of a boss. He is extremely scripted to be honest unlike your last boss; Flamelurker, you can kill this guy without even hitting him! Yeah I said it! Basically when you run in he will punch the balcony, there is a Crystal Lizard to the left and if your World Tendency is White you will find a sword that looks a lot like one of Cloud's from Final Fantasy VII. Wander to the right avoiding his punches and smashing debris with your weapons and shoot the harpoon gun at him. Follow where the cut scene tells you to go and then avoid his breath weapon while cleaning more debris. You will tell which way he will breathe, either left to right or right to left after he roars and where his head moves and starts at. Fire the other harpoon (another Crystal Lizard here) and then follow the cut scene and kill him. You will get a Pure Dragonstone, and a Dragon Demon's Soul. This soul is used to purchase your choice of two spells or a miracle. You can only get one, so you will need to do this 3 times. (Requires 3 plays) Hidden One The One to obtain all rings. You must obtain all the rings in the game to get this trophy. Check the Item Location Guide below to find any rings you might be missing. Hill Accumulator Overthrower of the Demon "Hill Accumulator" Abjudicator is not that hard to kill. Though if playing by yourself he WILL kill you almost instantly when you walk in the room if you aren't quick to move. If you have a Lava Bow, like I did. It will take roughly a dozen Heavy Arrow hits to kill him. If you bring other people, he will go down almost within 30 seconds. He will drop a Swollen Demon's Soul, which can be used to make the Valuable Weapon, Meat Cleaver. It can also be traded to Saint Urbain for a miracle. Idol of the Idiots Overthrower of the Demon "Idol of the Idiots" The Fool's Idol is a relatively easy boss, and the first boss in the Tower of Latira. Take care of all the Prisoner Dreglings before you decide to engage her, as it will make this easy. Once engaged she will fire a pretty powerful spell at you that is very, very easy to dodge out of the way. You can just target her and walk with your shield up and you will not get hit. The best bet is to use spells or ranged attacks against her, but melee will do just fine. The problem with melee though is there will be greenish blue circles that appear on the ground, remember where these are because they will disappear and if you step on one of them you will get paralyzed for a few seconds. This may not sound horrible, but the more you damage her the more clones she will make. Did I mention she makes clones? You can tell them from her easily because they will have a Health Bar over their head if you target. After you beat her, go to the alter for a cut scene and you will be on your way to the next part. She will drop a Doll's Demon Soul, which can be used to learn a spell from Freke. Impure Giant Overthrower of the Demon "Impure Giant" This boss is known as Leechmonger. He is a giant pile of...leeches basically. He's not too hard to kill if you have a good bow such as the Lava Bow or White Bow. Sit on the area you start and snipe away. As a warning he does regenerate HP so if you do not have a bow as powerful as those two, don't fight this guy yet. He will drop the Wiggling Demon's Soul, which can learn a spell from Freke, or a miracle from Urbain. (Requires 2 Plays) Incarnation of the King Overthrower of the Demon "Incarnation of the King" The False King basically, this boss is rather tough and you will need 2 Blue Phantoms to help you killing him. I sat at ranged picking him off dealing about 100 damage per hit with my Lava Bow, and it took a good 10 minutes to bring him down WITH help. He has a charge move that brought me down to about 1/4 of my health when he hit me. Make sure you have lots of healing items when you fight him. He will drop the False King Demon's Soul, which is used to create the amazing epic Valuable Weapon, North Relegia! This item is forged by this soul, along with the Demonbrandt and the Soulbrandt. (Requires 2 Plays) King's Flying Dragon Overthrower of the Demon "King's Flying Dragon" This is the Blue Dragon that was chilling in the Boletarian Palace early in the game. Basically when you actually get to the "fight" Biorr will come out and try to help you. The only thing that I can recommend is as soon as you hit the area with the large steps, SPRINT LIKE NO TOMORROW and try to make it up the stairs before that dragon kills you, for he will. You get a Large Dragon Flame Soul after you kill him, which has no use but to consume. (Optional Boss) Knight of the Tower Overthrower of the Demon "Knight of the Tower" The Tower Knight is the Boss of the second area after the Phalanx Archway. To kill him the best way is to take care of the Archers first that are on the palisades and then go down to attack his feet. After you attack his feet enough he will fall over and you can attack his head for massive damage. You can also snipe him from one of the archer positions with spells or arrows when he lowers his guard to attack you. You will find the Iron Demon's Soul on this boss. This soul can be used to get spells from Yuria or Freke. (Requires 2 Plays) Man Eater Overthrower of the Demon "Man Eater" Maneater...what can I say about this boss. He will kill you. That sums it up basically. I had a rough time with him, but I was fighting against him solo, for some reason there was no one who wanted to be summoned (most likely because they don't want to die). Maneater is a boss fight that you should go into when you have your bearings for this game down. He is located in the area past the Fool's Idol Archway, and you don't just fight one of him, you fight TWO. Yes, after about a minute of fighting just this guy, another one will fly in and fight you. He basically has four attacks. One that will knock you back (and flying off the platform you are on) and break your guard, a punching move which can be blocked, a soul arrow type move, and a stunning sonic screech which can really, really hurt. I went in wearing Tyhe Ring of Magical Sharpness and spammed Firestorm like there was no tomorrow. Bring a stock of Fresh Spice, I went through about 18 to kill both of them, not including the multiple grasses I used to heal myself. He will drop the Mixed Demon's Soul, which is used to make the Valuable Weapon, Needle of Eternal Agony. Old Brave Warrior Overthrower of the Demon "Old Brave Warrior" This boss is known as Old Hero, he is not too hard if you have a really good bow, and some patience. This boss is actually blind and cannot see you, the Thief Ring is your friend here. Basically find a pillar at the end of the room and pop out and throw pop shots at him with your bow. I was using the Lava Bow at this point and it did roughly 98 damage a hit. Bring lots of arrows cause he can be hard to hit. Once you hit him he will roar. Go hide behind your pillar again, it's kinda like a sonar that bats use, so if you are out he will then charge your location and swing blindly, most likely hitting you. Once he goes down you will get the Hero Demon's Soul, which is used to make the Valuable Weapon, Large Sword of Searching. A weapon that if held in your offhand drastically increase the drop chance of good items. This soul can also be used to get a miracle from Urbain. (Requires 2 Plays) Old King Conqueror of the Old King Doran Old King Doran is a very easy boss to kill if you have the spell Poison Cloud. To get to fight Old King Doran you must have saved Ostrava all three times, and talk to him after the Blue Dragon in the area past the Penetrator Archway, or you can have let him die or kill him in any of the levels he is in to get the item he gives you. This Mausoleum Key is what is needed to open the door by the Red Eyes Knight in the Boletarian Palace. Past that door you will find Old King Doran. I highly suggest that you do not try to melee him. Rumors say that you will die in one hit no matter what your health is at, or how many hit points you have. (Optional Boss) Phalanx Overthrower of the Demon "Phalanx" Phalanx is the first boss in the game, and you will fight him at the end of your first level (Boletarian Palace). He is basically a giant blob of goo with a glowing blueish white core. To damage him you must attack the area where his armor is destroyed, but he is covered in black slimes and tosses spears at you. The black slimes are immune to damage from the front because they have either spears or shields sticking out the front of them, though they are highly damaged by fire. Attack them from behind with your sword or weapons with Turpentine on them so that you add fire damage to your attacks. To get the slimes off of Phalanx easier toss Firebombs at him until they all fall off. Make sure to kill everything in here and then before you grab the soul of Phalanx to loot all the other things you killed for Healing Herbs and other goodies. You will get the Lead Demon's Soul from him. This soul is used for making the Valuable Weapon: Scraping Spear Saint The One to obtain all the miracles You must purchase all Miracles in the game to obtain this trophy. To get this trophy you must save Saint Urbain who is located in the Shrine of Storms. Please read the Spellcasting Guide for a list of all Miracles. Soldier The One to obtain all valuable equipment You must obtain all Valuable Weapons for this trophy to unlock. A list of all weapons you need is located in the Item Location Guide. Storm King Overthrower of the Demon "Storm King" Storm King is a giant Manta Ray that flies through the air. As you start off you will need to kill about 10 Manta Ray's for him to come down and fight you. You will know because you will probably be hit by one of the Poison Barb's that the throws down to hit you. He's a pushover though, with my Lava Bow I was hitting him for 97 damage a pop and he went down very quickly. You will want to use the Storm Ruler if you are melee against this boss, which you can find near a bunch of Standing Stones. He will drop the Storm Demon's Soul which can be used to create the Valuable Weapon, Morion Blade. You can also trade this to Urbain for a miracle. (Requires 2 Plays) Takaashi Armored Spider Overthrower of the Demon "Takaashi Armored Spider" The Armored Spider is a boss in the Stonefang Tunnels, you can really cheese the hell out of this boss by standing about 1/3 in the tunnel and picking it off with magic or arrows. You will only get hit by the webbing, and if you have the Fragrant Ring you can just sit there and regen MP while he doesn't hit you. Pretty easy boss. You will find a Hard Demon's Soul off his body along with a Pure Spiderstone This soul is used for making the Valuable Weapon: Lava Bow, you can also use this to buy a spell from either Yuria or Freke. (Requires 3 Plays) The Judge Overthrower of the Demon "Judge" This is the boss Dirty Colossus. He isn't too hard, I just sat at the entrance shooting arrows at him. They did about 147 damage per hit with the Lava Bow. Thing is that he will shoot flies at you which leech your health away. Not too big of a problem if you have a Ring of Disease Resistance with you and a bunch of grass. To avoid getting hit when he starts to throw shit at you, just push circle and roll out of the way. Once you defeat him he will drop the Eroded Demon's Soul, which will let you learn a spell from Freke The Maiden Asutoraea Overthrower of the Demon "Asutoraea" The Maiden Astraea can be killed very easy. When you walk into her lair you will need to dispatch of all the Goblins in front of you, and all the Goblins on the right pathway, you will see a Crystal Gecko sitting on the path you need to take. Once you dispatch of all of them, take our your bow and starting sniping her from that location. If you are melee you will need to dispatch of Garl Vinland first before you can touch her. The river down there will give you Plague and has a bunch of Dead Babies that will surround and attack you. Once you defeat her, she will drop the Pureblood Demon's Soul, which is used to create the Valuable Weapon, Blueblood Sword. This is also used to obtain a spell from Freke, and a Miracle from Urbain. (Requires 3 Plays) The One Hidden in the Flames Overthrower of the Demon "The One Hidden in the Flames" Ah...Flamelurker. He is a pain in the ass, and someone you really don't want to mess with. Flamelurker can be found in the area after the Spider Archway. His movements are very random and if you do not have any fire resistant gear you are going to be toast. Bring two Phantoms with you into this fight, you will need them. Flamelurker is weak to Soul Arrow. Once he is beaten you will find a Red Hot Demon's Soul You can turn the soul to Ed the Blacksmith in the Stonefang Tunnels. This allows you to upgrade weapons to Valuable Weapons The One to connect the world Guiding the Beast of Spread back to slumber once more, you have stopped and connected the World To obtain this trophy, simply beat the end boss of the game. Item Location Guide
Weapons: Baby's Nail - This Valuable Weapon can be found behind the Alter of The Fool's Idol in the Tower of Latria. Make sure you pick this up DURING the fight with her, or you will not be able to get this weapon. Demonbrandt - You will get this Valuable Weapon, by defeating Old King Doran. Check the guide above on how to defeat him. Soulbrandt - You will receive this item after you slay the last boss in the game. Penetrating Sword - You can find this item Valuable Weapon just shortly past the Penetrator Archway. Kill the Black Phantoms and the one with the Bruchwood Armor will drop this. Istarelle This Valuable Weapon can be found in the Valley of Defilement, look for a ladder as you go past a bridge that has a Giant Goblin on the other side. (Requires White World Tendency) Morningstar - You can find this weapon on the scafolding while trudging through the Valley of Defilement. Storm Ruler - You can find this Valuable Weapon, while in the Storm King fight. This weapon will drain all your Stamina as soon as you use it. If you are a melee character this is the weapon you want to use against Storm King, I don't recommend using it anywhere else as it's VERY SLOW. Talisman of Beasts - You can get this item by killing Black Phantom Scirvir (requires Pure Black World Tendency), or you can get this item after assassinating Ostrva in Mephistopheles quest line. Crescent Falchion +1 - You can find this being guarded by a Red Eyes Skeleton in the Shrine of Storms. Head up into the castle in the area where you see Vanguard (the tutorial boss). Kill the Skeleton and claim your prize. White Bow - You can find this Valuable Weapon, while you are traversing the cliffs in the area past the Adjudicator's Archway. You can't miss it if you are thorough in your searches. Hiltless - You can find this Valuable Weapon right near the end of the area past the Adjudicator's Archway. It is in the pool where all the Phosphorescent Slugs are. You will just need to search every nook, it's not hard to find. Moon Shortsword + 1 - You can find this weapon next to the small ledge on the stairs on the Maneater bridge in the area past the Fool's Idol Archway. Bastard Sword - Found in the Boletarian Palace in a nook in the palisade area. You cannot miss this item, for it is opened up to obtain as soon as the Iron Ball trap goes off. Follow where the ball went down the stairs to get the sword. This item is also a Rare Drop off the Soldiers in the Boletarian Palace. Dragon Bone Smasher - You can find this Valuable Weapon in the Dragon God's area just past Flamerlurker's Archway. (Requires White World Tendency) Kilij - This can be found in the Shrine of Storms, you cannot miss this as you wander about, it is in the open on a body. Uchigatana - This is very easy to find in the Shrine of Storms, it's in the open on a body as you wander about. Dragon Longsword +1 - You can find this Longsword while traversing the tunnels in the area after the Spider Archway. If you explore every nook of the tunnel system, you cannot miss it. Hand of God - You will find two of these Valuable Weapons in the area right before the fog gate to Flamelurker's Lair in the area past the Spider Archway. Guillotine Axe - You can find this by re-visiting the Boletarian Palace sometime after you kill the Tower Knight. Right in the beginning there is a store that goes off the ramparts and down to an area where there are a few bodies with souls waiting to be taken. There is also a Crystal Lizard down here so be on the lookout. After you dispatch everything head up the wooden staircase and watch out cause this chick means business and will probably two shot you. (Requires Black World Tendency) You can also find this as a rare drop off the Soldiers in the Boletarian Palace Silver Catalyst - You can find this weapon to cast spells on the opposite side of where you found the Liar, in the Tower of Latria. Basically before you enter the fog gate in the spiral tower, take it to the top floor and there you have it. Great Club - This is hard to get, for once you come to the area and break the planks (due to heavy burden) in the Stonefang Tunnel. Either come to this area after you beat the level and wear almost nothing, or drop your gear (you can pick it up after you drop it) so you can cross the planks without them snapping in two. If you fall and miss this, you can go back to the nexus, and come back to the world and it should be fine again. Long Sword of Moonlight - You can find this Valuable Weapon, in the Poison Swamp in the area past the Leechmonger's Archway. You will need to cut down the nest of Slugs on the side of the swamp and the sword will appear. Blessed Mace + 1 - You can find this weapon while going through the Valley of Defilement. You will need to walk off the plank in one of the huts filled with Goblins and carefully hit a rock, then roll onto the ground or you will die by falling. Once you land clear the Goblins and the Sucker Bug and claim your prize. Claws - You can find this weapon in the Tower of Latria, just make sure you search all the prison cell's because these can be missed if you do not go into every one. Some of the sides in the big prisons cannot be seen. Geri's Stiletto - This Valuable Weapon is given to you by Sage Freke after you rescue him from the Tower of Latria. Please see the NPC Guide below to find out how to rescue him and where he is located. Club - This is the treasure that Patches is talking about in the area after the Spider Archway. Kill the big Exploding...Grub thingy and then grab it. Barbarian's start with this item. Great Axe - You need to be careful about how much equipment you have on when trying to get this in the area past the Spider Archway. It is up a ramp that is covered in those Exploding Grub things. Magic Sword "Makoto" - You can find this in the area just past the Adjudicators Archway. You will find it laying in the pit that Saint Urbain is in with the Black Phantom NPC. (Requires White World Tendency) Kris Blade - You can find this Valuable Weapon in the Stonefang Tunnel. It is up the wooden scaffolding next to the elevator (upper) before the Armored Spider's Lair. Phosphorescent Pole - This drops off Black Phantom Lord Rydel, which you can find in the same area as long as you have Pure Black World Tendency. Brand - This item drops off Black Phantom Garl Vinland, who will show up in the same area as he was in the Maiden Astrea fight. (requires Pure White World Tendency) Blind - Drops off of Black Phantom Selen Vindland, who is in the same area that she shows up in the area past Leechmonger's Archway. (requires Pure Black World Tendency) Estoc - You can find this weapon chilling outside by the arrow thrower in the Tower of Latria. You will need to clear some debris that is blocking the door. Check the first section you walk in that has the Legion (Big Ball of Bodies that Shoots Soul Arrows). Crushing Battle Axe +1 - Can be found on the upper section of the Stonefang Tunnel where the Lizardmen are throwing rocks off at you when you first enter the area. You must turn on the elevator lifts first, and kill the Black Minister up there for you to acquire the weapon. Great Sword - You can find a Great Sword in the area that Biorr is in after you unlock the door to where he is located. As you navigate try to remember where the merchant was after the Phalanx Archway. You will be on the opposite side of where he was. This item is also a rare drop off of Blue Eye Knights (With Great Swords). Pickaxe - You may find this in the Stonefang Tunnel while wandering through the area, it is in a room that has Lizard Men waiting to ambush you in a very narrow hallway. You may also buy this from the merchant in the beginning of the level. You can buy this item from the Filthy Man as well in the Stonefang Tunnel. Epee Rapier - You can find this Valuable Weapon in the area past the Fool's Idol Archway. It is in the same location as the Ring of Avarice after you drop the heart down in the level. Mercury Rapier + 1 - This weapon may be hard to find. In The Tower of Latria, there will be a section where there is a large statue that shoots tons of arrows down a walkway. There is a section with some damage railing where you can walk on the sides of the railings. Follow the side on the Left of your screen to find this weapon. The is a Stone of Ephermeral Eyes on the other side to pick up if you take the Right path. Scimitar - You will find a Scimitar while traveling through the Boletarian Palace on the lower level after the first fog gate. It is tucked in a corner just outside the room that Ostrava is. Secret Dagger - You can find this Dagger in one of the holding cells of The Tower of Latria. Armor: Ragged Armor - You may find a full set of Ragged Armor in the Boletarian Palace after you cut the chains in the palisade area. You will need to go back down to where the pit trap is in the beginning of the level to pick them up. The Ragged Armor is Female only. Dull Gold Armor - This set of armor can be found by the lone slug chilling in the middle of the Poison Swamp in the area past the Leechmonger's Archway. This armor set is Female only and is found near the fog gate to the next boss. Fat Ministers Hat - An item you get for killing the Fat Minister on the other side of the gate with the body caught under it. This is needed to save Yuria, the Witch in the area after the Tower Knight Archway. Silver Bracelet - This awesome item can be found in the Tower of Latria, at the area you can find a Fluted Armor set. This is one of the best items in the game when farming for souls, for it stacks with the Ring of Avarice. Executioner's Armor - You can find this armor set after you kill the Executioner as mentioned above in the Guillotine Axe in the Boletarian Palace, she will drop a set of armor which only Female's can wear. (Requires White World Tendency) Steel Shield - You can find this hefty Large Shield in the Stonefang Tunnel. You can't miss it as you progress through the area. It is right after the Lizardman gang with some tossing rocks at you. Burchwood Armor - You can find a full set of Burchwood Armor in the Boletarian Palace after you kill the Executioner Miralda and travel down the stairs she was hiding in. This armor is very heavy and you need at least 58 free weight to carry it all. Armor includes a shield. You can also find this armor set off of Biorr if he dies in any of the demon encounters you fight with him. Old King's Armor - This set of armor drops off Old King Doran after you kill him. Dark Heater Shield + 2 - You can find this magic resistant shield in the area past the Spider Archway. It is in the area littered with walkways on the far left side of the area sitting on a very unstable and hard to reach walkway. To get this you will need to slide onto the wall from the walkway above it. Fluted Armor - You can find a set of Fluted Armor in the Tower of Latria one level below the area where Freke and Lord Rydel are being held captive. This is arguably one of the best armor to stamina to defense ratio armor's in the game next to the Mirdan Armor. Devout Sage's Vestments - You can find this in the Tower of Latria if you have Pure White World Tendency by Lord Rydell (just past him actually on the opposite side) Purple Flame Shield - In the Boletarian Palace Dragon Roost, you will either need to kill the Red Dragon after you kill Phalanx in the next section, or just try your luck sprinting into the roost while he's breathing flame on the rampart. This is also a rare drop off the Red Eye Knights (With Shields) throughout the game. Rings: (Complete List) Fragrant Ring - Royal starts with it. This ring slowly restores MP over time. It is one of the best rings in the game. You may buy this from Patches, the Hyena for 60,000 souls. Ring of the Master - Executioner Miralda in the Boletarian Palace drops this, it allows your single melee strikes to deal more damage, but your other damage will be reduced. This includes ranged attacks and magic abilities. (Requires White World Tendency) Ring of the Accursed - You can get this ring off of Mephistopheles when you kill her after doing her quest line. Ring of the Eternal Warrior - A drop from Old King Doran in the Boletarian Palace. (requires Mausoleum Key) Regenerator's Ring - This ring can be found in the Shrine of Storms, if you explore every nook of the place you can't miss it. This ring slowly restores HP as you wear it. Good if you are a ranged person. Graverrobber's Ring - This ring is found in the Shrine of Storms, and is not that hard to miss as well. This ring is very important, for it makes Black Phantoms be able to detect you less. This includes invading Black Phantoms. Friend's Ring - You can get this ring from the Monumental as long as you have Pure White Soul Tendency. You can gain White Soul Tendency by defeating Black Phantoms that invade your world. Not an easy task. Ring of Magical Dullness - You can find this ring while traversing the scaffolding in the Valley of Defilement. It can be tough to miss, but just use ALL ladders you see that go down from where you are. Ring of Disease Resistance - You can find this ring while taking the "short" way down to Flamelurker after the Spider Archway. Just watch where you jump and it's on a body on one of the walkways that are left. Ring of Devout Prayer - There are two locations for this in the game, you can get this by doing the Selen Vinland quest (found in Pure White World Tendency in the area past Leechmonger's Archway), or while doing Mephistopheles quest line, and will get it as a drop from Saint Urbain. Ring of Sincere Prayer - You get this as a drop from the Maiden Astrea after you kill her in the area past the Dirty Colossus Archway. Foe's Ring - You get this for completing the Mephistopheles quest line after killing Yuria. Ring of Gash Resistance - You can find this on the way of Saving Ostrava while wandering in the area after the Phalanx Archstone. Thief Ring - In Boletarian Palace section behind where Ostrava is. You will have to roll off the stairs at the right point to land where he is. This ring should be worn at all times if you are trying to sneak up and kill Crystal Lizards. Ring of Avarice - You can find this ring in the area past The Fool's Idol Archway. After you drop the heart wander back down the first tower and go to where the heart dropped. This ring is probably one of the best rings if you want to level up. You gain 20% more souls when you defeat enemies. Ring of Fire Resistance - You can find this in the Dragon Roost in the Boletarian Palace. you will either need to kill the Red Dragon after you kill Phalanx in the next section, or just try your luck sprinting into the roost while he's breathing flame on the rampart. Ring of Great Strength - You can find this in the Dragon Roost also in the Boletarian Palace. you will either need to kill the Red Dragon after you kill Phalanx in the next section, or just try your luck sprinting into the roost while he's breathing flame on the rampart. You can also find this off of Biorr if he dies in any of the demon encounters he fights with you. Clever Rat Ring - You can find this ring in The Tower of Latria on the Arrow Walkway as you progress through the level. Make sure to turn the Arrow Throwing Machine off before you go down...or it won't be pretty. Ring of Herculean Might - This item is obtainable from Stockpile Thomas in the Nexus, just talk to him twice and give him the Jade Hair Ornament that you found while exploring the Boletarian Palace. Ring of Magical Sharpness - You can find this ring in the room with three Iron Maiden's clumped together in The Tower of Latria. Ring of Disease Resistance - You can find this ring while wandering collecting items in the area past the Fool's Idol Archway in the Blood Swamp, or you can also get this item while traversing the rafters in the area past the Spider Archway (right pathway) Cling Ring - You will find this while wandering around the Boletarian Palace. This is a ring that should be worn at all times if you are in Soul Form, for it grants you an extra 25% health. Ring of Poison Resistance - You will find this ring in the Stonefang Tunnel after you douse the lava pit with water. Just walk around you should see it behind a grate. NPC GUIDE
These NPC's are imperative to the story and getting all Valuable Weapons Ostrava of Boletaria (Must Not Die!) Boletarian Palace - You can find Ostrava sitting on a raise platform being looked at by a bunch of Dregelings. Kill all of them and he will jump down and thank you for saving him. He will give you a Brass Telescope for your help. He will then wander off and kill stuff that you haven't killed yet. Phalanx Archway - You can find Ostrava again, this time trapped by a bunch of archers in the tunnel system beneath the bridge. Help him and he will give you 3 of the best healing item in the game, which restores all HP and MP. He will then wander about killing stuff again. Tower Knight Archway - You will once again encounter Ostrava again, this time running from a Red Eyes Knight towards your area. Open the gate using the gate lever to save him yet again. He will reward you with a Pure Clearstone. Penetrator Archway - You will encounter Ostrava once again, this time not in trouble at all. He will give you a Mausoleum Key which you can use to fight Old King Doran. If he doesn't show up, then you let him die or he was killed by some enemy you left about while he wanders around the level. If he dies you are locked out of the Old King Doran fight later in the game who drops some awesome loot, a Ring, and a Valuable Weapon If you complete all of these events, he will end up killing himself (plot device) and become a Black Phantom who will drop his Sword and Shield. His Sword is a Valuable Weapon as well. Biorr, Of The Twin Fangs(Can Die, But Not Recomended) Tower Knight Archway - As you progress through this level, you have seen multiple Fat Ministers wandering around with Great Axes. When you get to the point where there is a Fat Minister with Three Archers, snipe him and kill him. He will drop an Iron Key Ring. Head back to right before the Tower Knight Archway and you can unlock the door here, go down and there will be another Fat Minister who drops a Blood Stained Key. Go around and open all of the cells and Biorr will be in one of them, he will then head to the Nexus after his nap. He will then help you against Penetrator when you fight him. Penetrator Archway - If Biorr does not die during the Penetrator Fight (He helps you), he will also help you fight the Blue Dragon in this area. He will most likely die here, but this is the last time he is actually useful and will drop his Brushwood Armor set, and a Ring. Sage Freke Tower of Latria - You can find Sage Freke locked up in one of the jail cells near the Warden's Hall. The key to Sage Freke's cell is located next to the Liar on the Balcony of the Cathedral right before you fight The Fool's Idol. Freke will reward you with a Valuable Weapon, and he will teach you new spells in The Nexus from now on. Yuria, the Witch If you remember earlier you found a Bloodstained Key while trying to save Biorr from the prison cell's just before the Tower Knight Archway. Go past the archway after getting this key and just past the carriages with the dogs in them, you will unlock a door with this key. Follow the path's for items and a tower where Yuria is being kept. You will need the Fat Minister's Hat (Kill the Fat Minister on the other side of the gate that crashes on the body) to get the staircase to lower, then kill the Fat Minister above (remember to unequip) and then talk to Yuria. Lord Rydel Tower of Latria - You can find Lord Rydel as a Blue Phantom in the jail cells opposite of Sage Freke and one floor lower. You can find the key in the area past the Fool's Idol Archway. Take the stairs above the first chains you broke (to drop the heart) and head up and you will find the keys to his cell. (requires Pure White World Tendency for keys). Yurt, the Silent Chief You can find Yurt, the Silent Chief chilling in a prison cell whilest traversing the very large area past The False Idol's Archway, talk to him and let him out. Once you defeat Maneater, he will show up on the second story landing of the Nexus. He will start assassinating people in the Nexus (found out the hard way) if you don't pay attention to him. When you kill him he will drop a set of Gloom Armor (the armor he is wearing). Satsuki You can find Satsuki sitting in front of the first archway while traversing the Shrine of Storms. He will ask you if you will find his fathers sword, the Magic Sword "Makoto", and bring it to him. If you do, he will attack you right after you bring him the sword. Kill him and it will drop for you to pick back up again. If you tell him that you will not give it to him, he attacks you anyway. Just be a sport and don't even talk to the guy. (Requires White World Tendency) Saint Urbain Saint Urbain can be found after falling into Patches trap (which I highly recommend as there are some nice items down there) past the Adjudicator's Archway. Talk to him and then beat Old Hero and he should show up in the Nexus. Blige Blige is an NPC who can be saved in the Shrine of Storms. You can find a Copper Key in the area by the Tutorial boss in the beat down building area. Once you find the key, head into the area just where he was standing and go down into the hole, there is a wall you can hit to reveal a hidden passage. Kill the two Blue Eyes Skeletons waiting to ambush you form coming the other side, and free him. He will become a vendor and sell you some stuff on the spot, and sell you some of the best arrows in the game a little later on. Scirvir the Wanderer You can only find Scirvir on Pure White World Tendency Stonefang Tunnels. He will ask you to show him a sword made form the bones of a Dragon. Show him the Dragon Bone Smasher and he will give you a Pure Greystone. Crow Crow is an odd....person. He/She is not really a NPC you can see, nor a vendor. But if you leave Him/Her some items you will be able to get something in return. This only works for some items and I will leave a list of what I can find here. Item Traded .........................................Item Received Soul Remains.........................................White Arrow x10 Gold Mask.............................................Colorless Demon's Soul Brass Telescope.....................................Fragrant Ring Aguite of Guidance.................................White Arrows x10 Talisman of God.....................................Colorless Demon's Soul Last edited by Sith_Apokalypsis; 10-18-2009 at 10:26 PM. |

Crystal Lizard Guide
Crystal Lizards are creatures that contain various amounts of ore on their bodies that can be used to upgrade and make Valuable Weapons. These are locations of Crystal Lizards that I have found. They tend to respawn sometimes after you kill a boss, so if you see one in an area and kill it/miss it, kill the demon in the area and then come back and look for it. It might just be there. *Warning Crystal Lizards are easily startled and will run when they see or hear you coming. After they run for a short time they will vanish into thin air. Snipe them with spells or arrows and do not try to melee them. Use the Thief's Ring to sneak up on them. Boletarian Palace You can find a Crystal Lizard in the beginning of the area. You must have defeated the Tower Knight before you can enter this gate that is on the left side of the bridge. He is sitting right next to a bunch of corpses that have a copious amount of souls on them. Beware of the Black Phantom creatures (Don't Count As Black Phantom's) Phalanx Archway There is a lone Crystal Lizard in the tower right before the Tower Knight Archway. Head up the stairs (opposite of the locked door) and it will be right there as you walk out, make sure you walk up the stairs and not run. Tower Knight Archway You will find one Crystal Lizard back over where Biorr is on your way to grab the Tower Shield (from where the merchant was) *you are on the opposite side. Penetrator Archway There is a Crystal Lizard right as you start the level by the Black Phantoms. There is another Crystal Lizard hiding in the hallway to the right, just after the Black Phantoms. Should be right next to the wooden shield (object). The last Crystal Lizard is chilling on the Ramparts where the Blue Dragon is trying to set you ablaze for the first time. Stonefang Tunnels You can find a Crystal Lizard right next to the Filthy Man down a ways. Walk towards him and do not run to be safe. You should be able to get in target range and snipe him with spells easily. You can find the second Crystal Lizard right after you kill the three Lizardmen with hot iron rods trying t attack you. Pass the fog gate, watch out for the ambush, and then when you turn left out of the smithy he should be standing right there. Spider Archway There are too many Crystal Lizards to even note in this area. There are at least 20 or so. There is a nest that holds about 10 right near the start of the level. I would avoid going there until you have the Firestorm spell or Rage of God miracle. There is a Crystal Lizard right off at the start of the area. You may want to pull the Lizardman who is sitting there away before you approach. You can find a Crystal Lizard on the top scaffolding as you reach the area with tons of treasure. It's the top first piece of the scaffolding that you land on after jumping your way down. As a warning there are Stone Worms in the area that will pop up. There is another Crystal Lizard in the same scaffolding area, but it is on the bottom path. You can snipe it with ease with arrows if you have a bow equipped from other scaffolding. There are two Crystal Lizards in the same area with a medium sized Exploding Grub while you are trying to navigate the tunnels. You will find this easier if you take the last tunnel *coming from the scaffolding area* while running on the side of the lava river, and the first left you can take is the area they are in. You should be able to snipe both with spells/arrows and not have them run away. Flamerlurker Archway There is a Crystal Lizard on the left path as soon as the Path of the Dragon God splits. It's the same side where the Dragon's Bone Smasher is located, you can't miss it. The last Crystal Lizard can be tricky to get, since you may die while trying to kill it. It is in the area of the last Harpoon Gun that you fire at the Dragon God. Kill the Lizard quickly then fire then gun, if you go for the ore you WILL die in the process. Tower of Latria There is a lone Crystal Lizard in this area as you progress through the cells. You will find him easily by the glow they give off, snipe him to kill him. False Idol's Archway There is one Crystal Lizard in the area of the Blood Swamp. It will be just as you are leaving and climb up the stairs to the second tower, it will be near two bug...things. Maneater's Archway There is one Crystal Lizard just as you reach the fog gate that lead's into Old Monk's room. Be wary though, there are two Black Phantoms on this staircase, and they HURT. Shrine of Storms There is a Crystal Lizard on the way to get the Regenerator's Ring, snipe it from a safe spot, and make sure there are no flying Manta Ray's above or around you. There is another Crystal Lizard that you can snipe from Crow's Tree, leading down to an area where you can find a soul. Adjudicator's Archway There is one Crystal Lizard in this area, but you will not likely be able to kill it. It tends to run off the cliff and suicide as soon as you walk out the door. Old Hero's Archway There is a Crystal Lizard or two chilling by where the Storm Ruler is, these drop very valuable Pure Ore for your item creation trophies, so be sure to kill them and pick up the items. New Game + Guide
I'll be posting tips on how to defeat bosses in New Game + mode here. They are very tough as I've been seeing so far, but the ways I am killing them (by myself) work and can be done with patience and time. Phalanx Phalanx can be easily killed with the spell Firestorm. Run up to him and cast real quick, then proceed to run away. If you do not have enough MP to cast again, use some Fresh Spice to go ahead an restore MP and then repeat the process. He should be dead within two to four casts if you hit him properly. Tower Knight This guy can be tough and one shot you very easily. He is an extreme pain in the ass to kill the normal way, so go in with the spell Poison Cloud. Run up to him, casting very quickly, then head up to the ramparts to take care of all the archers. When the purple fog subsides from him run down and cast it on him again. This process will take about 20 or so minutes to kill him. Penetrator Penetrator was kind of a push over in the first game, now he's hard as hell. Even with the help of Biorr, he will kill Biorr in mere moments so be quick if you want Biorr's help with the Blue Dragon. Penetrator takes damage from Poison Cloud, so if you have high stamina, you can just run around him for however long it takes to have all his HP drain. I would suggest bringing the Warding spell and Regeneration miracle and keep a stock of Fresh Spice and have your Fragrant Ring equipped if you want to do this. He will probably one shot you if your Vitality stat is less than 20. Armored Spider This boss is as simple as before, he just has less HP. Use a ranged weapon such as the White Bow and stick to the left side of the tunnel about 3/4 of the way down to not get hit by anything. Time your shots and he will be dead in about 10 minutes. Flamelurker If you though Flamelurker was hard the first time, the second time he has about five times the HP. You will need the spell Poison Cloud for this fight, and it will take about thirty minutes for him to be brought down. Wear the Thief Ring and he will sometimes forget where you are and stand in place. He sometimes get's stuck while you move around. Just cast when it wears off and he will die. Dragon God He's just the same as the original fight. The only thing is if your HP is not high, he will one shot you regardless of what you do. So be quick and smart and you will down him with ease. Fool's Idol She is still very easy just like in the regular game. If you picked up the Dark Silver Shield from when you were in the last game, use this to block her magic attacks, for it will block them without you taking any damage. Once you get close, give her three swings with your sword or shoot her three times with your bow. This is about as much time as you have from the first hit before she will teleport. She will go down easily if you follow the original rules, and before you swing/shoot make sure you block her spell. Adjudicator If you were following the same method as before, you'll have noticed that Adjudicator has a few more tricks up his sleeve this time. His tounge attack will now hit you from anywhere regardless of where you sit, so your best bet is to melee him. This fight took me about 15 or 20 minutes hacking away at his wound (where the Meat Cleaver is) and waiting for him to fall down so I could attack his head. If you have a Blue Phantom with you (at this point in the game unlikely due to not many people being in New Game +, they can just smash his head from a distance with spells or arrows. Old Hero You will find Old Hero just as easy in New Game +, just ping him in the back with arrows when he's walking, wait for the roar, then ping him again. He will die, just bring a copious supply of arrows if you don't have a bow such as the White Bow or Lava Bow. Storm King Storm King is not much more difficult in New Game + than before, except if you have a low Vitality skill, his poison barbs will kill you in one hit. You can use the semi-destroyed building for cover. He goes down quite quickly with the Lava Bow or White Bow Last edited by Sith_Apokalypsis; 10-29-2009 at 10:50 AM. |

World/Character Tendency Guide
World Tendency To change your World Tendency to White, the best way to do this is in offline mode. Here is a chart on what effects you getting White World Tendency. Killing a Boss in Body Form Killing a Boss in Soul Form Killing a Black Phantom NPC Killing a Primeval Demon Killing an Evil NPC These are the only way to get you towards that White Tendency. This will not work online because there is a bug that effects online Tendencies. If you quit the game in the Nexus online, you will revert everything back to neutral, and these can only be done once per the world you are in. Here are the negative side effects, going towards Black Tendency. Getting Killed While in Body Form Killing a NPC (Any) in Body Form Suiciding in Body Form In short you basically just cannot die at all and you will achieve Pure White World Tendency. Check your Tendency Chart in game and see if the Archstone is glowing a Very Bright White. If you are in Pure Black it will be Pitch Black. Character Tendency Character Tendency unlike World Tendency is immediate and does not require you to go back to the Nexus to see if Tendency has changed. There are very few ways to gain White or Black Tendency, but these can be done online with no problems. Gaining White Tendency: Killing Evil NPC's Killing Player Black Phantoms Gaining Black Tendency: Killing NPC's Invading (and killing) Players as a Black Phantom. You will know if you are Pure Black when Mephistopheles is sitting on the second floor of The Nexus. |

Colorless Demon's Souls Locations
If you haven't figured it out yet, these are some of the best souls in the game, for they upgrade Valuable Weapons and Equipment. Know how awesome your Dark Silver Shield is? Well how bout a Dark Silver Shield +5. Yes it's possible with Colorless Demon's Souls. You can only get 10 per game, and here's how. Boletarian Palace There is a Colorless Demon's Soul on the rafter's in the tower where you find Executioner Miralda. Carefully walk on the rafter's til you find the part that's missing, and drop. You will die trying to get this, so be sure you want to be in soul form after obtaining it, cause the only way down is a fall. You can't land safely. Shrine of Storms You can obtain two Colorless Demon's Souls from Crow while visiting the Shrine of Storms. Trade Crow the Gold Mask that you find while in the area past the Fool's Idol Archstone (or from Mephistopheles if you killed her), and then a Talisman of God. Mephistopheles Quest When you are at the end of the game (nearing completion anyway) get your Character Tendency to Pure Black and then kill Yurt, the Silent Chief. Mephistopheles will appear in the Nexus on the second floor and give you quests to assassinate NPC's. Starting with Saint Urbain and his followers, and ending with Ostrava. You will get a bunch of goodies from this if you complete this, including two Colorless Demon's Souls, and a ring only available by doing this quest. Primeval Demons You can find Primeval Demons on worlds that are Pure Black World Tendency. You can find one in the areas past the Tower Knight Archstone (by where you saved Yuria), Fool's Idol Archstone (in the Blood Swamp), Adjudicator's Archstone (by the White Bow), and Leechmonger's Archstone (by the ramp to the slug nest. You can also find one in the Stonefang Tunnels on the bottom area where the lift takes you to where the Lizardmen throw boulders at you. |

I just can't believe that the most difficult game on PS3 will have 8/10 i term of difficult plat. Maybe all the trophies can be acquired by playing through it 3 times unlike some games that need 10k kills on MP.

Am I assuming that these locations don't exactly go in order of appearance sith?
And also, if some of them come up at the very beginning of the game and I miss them, will I still be able to acquire them possibly on a second playthrough? Made by MaxThunder ![]() [23:11]Ammos: "You're more confusing than Manny looking for his penis to piss with" |

Correct, all trophies can be earned offline. You may want to go online for specific reasons though to help you get specific items that are easier to get online.

I do everything online. It is just much easier to fly through bosses that way. Summon a few phantoms, and tank every boss. Just make sure you read this guide prior to getting far into your first play through. Get as much stuff as you can, so you won't suffer through the four play throughs. And yes, you have to go through the game FOUR times. New Game+ is hard, but once you get the hang of everything. New game ++ and +++, are easy.

You both get regular souls, but only the summoner gets the boss soul (also the trophy).

Yeah only the person who summoned the phantoms get the boss soul. Blue Phantoms get a lesser version of the souls the summoner get's when defeating a boss, the plus side of being summoned and helping defeat a boss is you revive and are back in body form.
