Post Resident Evil 5: "Desperate Escape" Trophy Guide

RESIDENT EVIL 5: "Desperate Escape" DLC Trophy Guide

    00 00 01 04
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Trophy Overview:
    Players: 1-2
    Total Trophies: 5
    Online Only Trophies: 0
    Online Play: Yes
    Cheat Codes: N/A
    Cheats Affect Trophies: N/A
    Minimum Playthroughs: 2
    Trophy Difficulty: 5/10
    Time to 100%: 2 - 5 Hours Max

Note: All of these trophies can be obtained by playing solo, but it is a lot easier if you get a partner to help you out. Especially in Professional mode!

    Trophy Difficulty:
    *: Very Easy
    **: Easy
    ***: Medium
    ****: Hard
    *****: Very Hard
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Getaway
Complete "Desperate Escape" on any difficulty setting.
    Difficulty: **
    --
This is pretty simple and self explained, but here is a tip, I`d rather play it online as it`s easier considering your partner is kinda dumb in solo play & you can help out another guy get the trophy as well.

    The Great Escape
Complete "Desperate Escape" with an S rank
    Difficulty: **
    --
Most of you might be having a hard time trying to get an S rank on this mission, but it`s actually fairly easy to get an S rank. Just change the games settings to Amateur and get your online partner to speed through, shooting only nearby majini, that way your accuracy won`t be so hard to loose. Also speeding through on Amateur should really get your total rank up, don`t pick up items that aren`t needed, don`t go breaking every crate or anything. If you die more than two times in Amateur well you might have a problem. Here is how you can combine your ranks to get a total S rank in the mission:
    • S-S-S-S
    • S-S-S-A
    • S-S-A-A
    • S-S-S-B

    Run the Gauntlet
    Complete "Desperate Escape" on professional
    Difficulty: *****
    --
This is the one trophy where you will have trouble, what you have to do is get an online partner or split screen partner, because solo play will prove to be insane! So once you have your partner (it would be better if you had a headset) communicate a lot and help each other out. Don`t take this lightly though, you cannot use infinite ammo here and no infinite rocket launchers so it`s gonna be a test of skill. Just take your time with your partner and don`t rush it, although at some times it`s necessary to escape but you get the idea. Check the spoiler for a little mini walkthrough:

    Way of the Warrior
Defeat 150 enemies singlehandedly in one playthrough of "desperate Escape."
    Difficulty: ***
    --
Ok some people have been having some trouble with this trophy. Some of them think you have to actually melee kill 150 enemies in one playthrough. Well no you don`t. You just have to kill 150 enemies, this means your partner is just gonna have to go through the whole game without killing anyone. This trophy can be won easily on a solo play, just put the difficulty to Amateur and then take your partner`s weapons away. Just let them have medical equipment. This way they can`t kill enemies unless they get close and knife (you can kill them before that happens) and they also heal you in case of some stubborn majini. If you do this solo, you should get it before the majini ambush in the helipad.

Or you can do it with an online partner but it will take some time, just try to stay in one place until majini stop respawning and then move on to the next location. Until you get it.

    Shoot the Messenger
Defeat 3 agitator Majini in one playthrough of "Deperate Escape."
    Difficulty: **
    --
Well for those of you that don`t know which majini are the agitator majini`s, well they are the ones with the megaphone. The one that appears in Public Assembly. I realized that for me the agitators sometimes don`t respawn. Fpr example the first one doesn`t appear but the other two do... Of course maybe it`s just my game but I got a video for you guys so there is no problem:

    Thanks for the guide.

From what you posted I understand only 150 Majini spawn, during the chapter? I had the feeling they just kept coming. :/ (I've only attempted 1 play-through yet, though.)

For Way Of The Warrior, you actually do not have to take away anything from your partner. I played through on Amateur first time on my own and got the S rank and Way Of The Warrior.

I would advise not to take anything away from your partner, if you do decide to follow what it says in the guide, at least make your partner a "Medic/Supplier", any medicinal sprays, herbs, ammo etc. give to your partner and you carry all the weapons.

Online both people can get 150 kills, theres atleast 350 enemies and maybe more if you kill a lot at the end. But ya, its a nice level, and guide, I'm only missing professional, my online partners are dumb.

No there is more, but it is a lot easier for one to do it first and then the other, or just in solo, because there isn`t the same number of majini spawns depending on the difficulty

That`s pretty much what I meant but yes I consider it a lot easier like this because this way your partner does not disturb your kills.

I would have to disagree with the Time to take. I would say it is 2-5 Hours Max, it only requires 2 Playthroughs. Each playthrough taking about 30 mins to 50 Mins.

ok Im about to shoot someone. I am so pissed right now. the last agitator comes out with more than enough time left to kill him. about 22 sec. to kill my third, I shoot a launcher at him, his head pops and parasite comes out, so I get out the shottie with 11 sec. left all of a sudden guy grabs me from behind, I shake him off, 7 sec left, I aim at agitators parasite head, pull trigger, Jill begins reloading her gun (didnt realize I was on 0), 3 sec left, bam! one shot off, 1 sec, bam! another shot, parasite still intact, cutscene begins before I can press pause to restart checkpoint. My neighbors probably think Im crazy with all the screaming and cussing that just occured in my house. pay no attention Im just venting

I give it a 5 saying there are only 5 trophies and only 2 are difficult also considering it`s just DLC and not an actual game. Professional can be accomplished and isn`t impossible, it just needs teamwork, but remember ratings are always opinions.

Have your partner cover your back while you take out the agitator, I did that and it worked.

no yeah my friend was out of town and I was supposed to wait to play but I just kinda went ahead and played w/o him. the comp was retarded. I guess thats what I get for jumpin' the gun lol

edit: so the only time the first agitator actually spawned was the first time I played this. i have since tried to play around 10 times and he has not shown up even once. So what the hell? what do you only get one freakin chance to get that trophy. my game glitches so much in the first area. like sometimes you can pump an infinite amount of ammo into the parasite dude that has the key and he wont open his head, and thats when I played on amateur. and yes I was hitting the littlle sack on his side. This dlc is fucked up

edit 2: found out how to get all three now everytime. in the very first area, where you get the key from the duvalia, you need to just wait until you exhaust all spawn points. kill every enemy, go up every ladder, grab every weapon/item in the area. i did it three times and he came out every time after the assisted jump action. the other two show up no matter what

I am having some difficulty getting the first agitator majini to trigger. I got the second one on the far-off walkway, and the third one on the helipad that you have half a second to kill before the level ends, but I don't know what I am missing to get the first one to show up.

there is only one way to get all of them to show up, and I can guarantee you that it works because I've helped a couple people get it this way. What you need to do is kill every single enemy in the very first part. Run around the room to get everyone to spawn in order to exhaust all enemies. I will note something else though as well...there is one enemy that sits in the top left corner near where the door to the next area is..he will not attack you until you get too close or until you shoot him, but DO NOT shoot him or go near him until you have taken care of every other enemy that spawns in this area. He is the one that turns into the parasite that you need to kill sometimes for the key, but if you kill him too early the game will glitch and he will be invincible and you'll have to restart. I cant even tell you how many times I popped his head off too early then wasted every single bullet on him. So save him for last, then when you do shoot his head off, lead him towards the barrel near the ladder under the satellite dish (which you hopefully saved) and blow it when he is near. Every enemy in this first area must be killed in order for the first agitator to show up. when you help jill up the ladder in the very next part then you'll get a cutscene showing him meandering around in the area you just left, so go back and kill him.

The same thing happened to me today. Try playing online, I guarantee that you will get the first one online. It's only the first one that won't show up offline based on my playthrough.
