From what I've heard and read its supposed to be like the old AVP for pc game...which was totally bad ass. But made for the new gen stuff.

Not many people play online? I think you underestimate the AvP fanbase.

It all depends on how much 18060 XP is honestly. If you can get 100+ XP a match without much luck/streaks/no-life-level-skill, 18060 XP might not be that much of a grind.

On a side note though, I am not a fan of this trophy list... *sigh* I general I don't like MP-focused trophy lists, but this is worse. Its a MP-focused trophy list that is chaulk-full of bronzes and silvers with one measly gold. The least they could do is make the Nightmare difficulty ones gold... the original AvP was a bitch on Nightmare.

Especially if your health doesn't auto-generate (something AvP hasn't done in the past FYI), then the Alien campaign is going to be one hard motherfucker because as an Alien you (again TYPICALLY) can only regenerate health with your inner jaws, something that requires the enemy to be incredibly close.

In the older AvPs (1 & 2), if you played on Nightmare as the Alien the only real option you had was to just not get hit... You were lucky if there were 2 or 3 instances in any level where you could take the time to use your inner jaws, 99% of the level it would just get you killed.

i saw the trailers for this game - it looks SO SICK. the gameplay looks extremely fun. plus, the trophies don't look mighty difficult

First off, I wouldn't assume 18060 XP is a large amount. As I said before if you can get 100 XP a match without being an AvP god or a lucky shithead, 18060 XP isn't that bad... and a far cry from R2's 10000 kills or RF:G's 100000 XP.

I am more upset by the fact that the Nightmare campaign completion trophies AREN'T gold. I've beaten all campaigns in both of the other 2 AvP games on 'Nightmare,' and holy fuck is it difficult (as I said before, unless they implement recharging health, you basically have to play the whole campaign as the Alien without getting hit).

Id also like to add, why do people assume this game isn't going to have a regular online community? Its AvP, I can boot up AvP2 right now and still find games open online... and that game is like 7 years old now.

I agree this is a highly anticipated game and i know theres gonna be tons of people playing this game online for a long time. But i am worried about the nightmare trophies hopefully they throw us a bone this time
