Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Trophy error

For a couple of days ago, I wrote at a forum at NaughtyDogs own website. Furthermore I wrote a mail to them aswell. But no answer. This is what I wrote at the forum (and in the mail):

I once tried (months ago) to get it, but with no luck (even though I shot 20 enemies multiple times with the Wes-44. In both spawning it from the 'rewards' menu, and 'legit' by killing an enemy who posses a Wes-44). I gave up and have not played the game since, until yesterday. Yesterday I picked it up and was ready for a second try. But before I was going to try out the Wes-44 trophy, I would beat the game on crushing (the last trophy exept for the wes-44 trophy). After some hours of playing I finally finished the game and got the "Crushing" trophy. So now, the only trophy left is the Wes-44 trophy (and Platinum, but that doesnt really count). So I started a chapter (Ambushed) and spawned the Wes-44 and kept killing until i reached 20 (I kept the score by writing it down on a paper to be sure (instead of counting in my head)). But since there is not 20 enemies in the chapter, I had to die so I could kill some more enemies. So I spawned the Wes-44, killed some enemies, died on purpose, spawned the Wes-44, killed some enemies etc. This I did until i reached 20 and above. But no trophy. Therefore I decided to look on the internet for some answers. Luckily I was not the only one having this problem. It seems that other people are having the same problem as getting trophies (not necessarily the Wes-44 trophy). And I read, that it could occur (in the in-game menu) a little trophy sign with and x on/above it, which would indicate that you are not able to collect trophies (for what reason I can not remember). But as the first thing I did, I was looking at my own in-game menu, and it showed no trophy sign with an x. (I have to add, that I have been trying to get the Wes-44 trophy BEFORE I got the "Crushing" trophy (which I got with no problems) so it has to be the an error in the game or in some files from the game. All other trophies I have collected (meanwhile I was trying to collect the Wes-44 trophy) with no problems, only this trophy is causing me problems. Anyways. I kept reading on the internet for answers. It occured to me, that multiple persons suggested (to others), that we could delete the game data (or save data cannot really remember any longer). But I read carefully about it, as they said that I should be very carefully about what i delete (save or game data). First of, to be sure, I deleted my Killzone 2 data (all of it) to see if I still would keep my trophies - and I did. (I only have like 22% in Killzone 2 and do not have the game anylonger so it really did not matter to me). So. Now I was sure of it, that I would still keep my trophies (and the trophy list for UCF - If I have synced it with the server though, which I had - multiple times). So now, I first deleted the game data. Played the game, nothing was changed. Then I deleted the save data and as I have read, It has been reset (the game) as if I have never played it. I looked at the menu, and all of my medals were gone (to hell with them, I want my trophy and platinum), but I could see, that it told me that I have not collected the "kill 20 with the Wes-44"-medal/trophy yet. I thought, fine now it should work (even though I have shot 20 enemies multiple times month ago, it simply did not reward me with the medal or the trophy (the menu showed me so. It was one of the last medals left). So I started out the game again, on easy because I wanted to get the trophy fast and the difficulty would not matter anyways (or it should not). Then I played for like an hour until I came to the first Wes-44 (In chapter 6 i believe where you are at the castle at 'Drake's Tower' trying to find Elena). Since the Wes-44 there only holds 6 shots, it was obvious I would not get it in first try. Therefore, I shot some enemie and kept the score on paper, got killed on purpose, killed some more, until I had 20 kills with the Wes-44. For the first time, the MEDAL popped up and said that I have killed 20 enemies with the Wes-44. Hopefull as I was, I kept waiting a few seconds (as I know some trophies takes some seconds to pop up). But nothing happened. NOTHING. I pushed my ps button and looked up at my trophy list. I still said 98% (as it still does) and that I still did not have the Wes-44 trophy. At first, I got a bit sad actually. To know that it is almost impossible to get the platinum for a game is hurtfull for a fanboy (lol). (And I sad 'almost impossible' on the hopes of NaughtyDog or Sony are able to fix this problem???? I really hope they can and will hear our prayers). But I was stubborn and died on purpose yet again and kept on the circle by killing and dying. But still no trophy (even though I have killed 50+ enemis). So I gave up - again. So now I am desperatly needing/looking for help so I (and the others who are suffering from this awfull pain of hell) can get our Platinum.

So yeah this is what I wrote. I hope anyone out there is able to help me. Btw - I read (at NaughtyDogs website in a forum) that it could have something to do with an update or something????

aahh thats unlucky man, i wish i could help but unfortunatly i can't all i can say is I hope Sony or Naughty Dog can do something about it

No, it's not.

Did you copy that save file from another PS3 (i.e. got a new system or something), use the backup utility, etc? There are some things you can do with a save file that will disable earning any more trophies for a game, although I would have thought that deleting your save file and starting over would have worked...

Personally I would create a new save file.. and then attempt purely to get that trophy, see if anything happens.

You can't delete the updates as 1.01 contains the actual trophy update.
